A message from BIANCA...
“I was born in Massachusetts, and have been living in San Diego since 2003. My interest in health began when I was very young, as I struggled with allergies as a child, and then digestive challenges as a teenager. Also, my father was very ill with chronic systemic Lupus. Early on, I became interested in why people get sick, how disease manifests, and why each person has very different experiences with their own health. After I received my B.A. from Boston University, I decided to get my Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. It was here that I developed a deep passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) due to the way it encourages patients to take both a proactive and preventative stance in regard to their health care, and seriously consider both their spiritual and emotional state when nurturing a healthy life. Each person’s unique symptoms are extremely important when diagnosing TCM pattern, and every treatment is customized specifically for the individual, rather than what has worked for the general population. Today, in my own practice, I encourage individualized holistic and integrative health care. As our health often interconnects with the mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges that we all face on a daily basis, I believe that it is important to treat the entire person, and not just the symptom or disease. When you truly treat the individual, their symptoms will fall away. In my practice, I provide my patients with the time to answer all of their questions, compassion to show them care, and personalized health knowledge to take home. I sincerely enjoy being a partner in my patients’ healing. My wish for my patients is that with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicinals, I can help them to cultivate a healthier version of themselves and a happier life!”
